Nigorizake Tasting at Tei Tei Robata on April 7th

To kick off our new tasting format we invited a small group to Tei Tei to taste 3 vastly different nigori:
It seemed the two favorites were Tozai Voices in the Mist (which was the overall favorite) and Tozai Snow Maiden. Sadly, Rihaku Dreamy Clouds was rated last out of the three.

Thanks to Terra at Pioneer Wine for supplying these to the Dallas area, and to Vine Connections for importing them!

Tei Tei now carries Tozai Voices in the Mist and Tozai Snow Maiden! Until our next nigori tasting, swing by and ask them for a bottle!

Sake Review: Jun Tenzan Tokubetsu Junmai

Quick Stats: SMV +2.0, Acidity 1.8, Seimaibuai 60%, 15% alcohol by volume.

Jun Tenzan is brewed using the clear waters of Mt Tenzan and the best rice from the Saga plains. Unfailingly dry, this sake possesses an ideal balance between sweetness and acidity and is well bodied and textured. Serve chilled, room temperature, or try slightly warmed - not hot!.

Price: $46 for the 1.8-liter bottle found at H-Mart
